Departure from Limassol port at around 18.00 hours. After
passport formalities you may relax in your comfort cabin or at the ship's
open bar area. The night starts with a spectacular buffet dinner. Enjoy a
rich palette of international cuisine in the luxurious dining rooms, relax
with cocktail and music throughout the evening in one of the vessel’s bar,
or if live shows and cabaret are more your scene, visit the lounges where
you will be entertained all night. Next day in the morning, we dock at
Haifa-Israel.
DAY 1: SHORE EXCURSION TO JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM
With Lunch
During this deeply religious and historic tour we travel to
Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, where we visit the church of Nativity and
the Grotto, build over Jesus' birthplace. After lunch in a local restaurant in
Bethlehem, we drive to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Entering through Jaffa Gate,
we begin a walking tour of the old city. We visit the Church of the Holy
Sepulchre and Golgotha, where daily prayers are chanted by many Christian
denominations over the place where Jesus was crucified and buried. Our tour
continues through the exotic oriental bazaar to the Wailing Wall. On the way we
stop to admire views of the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock and Al Aksa
Mosques. We then proceed past the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the
Garden of Gethsemane and the beautiful Church of All Nations and drive through
modern Jerusalem where we can enjoy views of the Knesset (Israeli parliament),
the Museum of Israel and the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are
housed. Our tour ends with a visit to the exhibition halls of the famous diamond
centre "Caprice" where we can admire a vast selection of diamonds and other
jewellery.
After this historical visit we drive back to Haifa port. We
overnight on board the ship. Next morning, after breakfast we head on to
Nazareth, Galilee and the River Jordan.
DAY 2: SHORE EXCURSION TO NAZARETH/GALILEE/RIVER JORDAN
With Lunch
We travel along Jizrael Valley to arrive at Nazareth where we
visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph's carpentry.
Onwards via Kafer Cana to view the Mount of Beatitudes and Church of the
Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish at Tabgha. Stop to view the ruins of the
ancient synagogue of Capernaum and the city of Christ. Drive via Tiberias to the
site of baptismal on the Jordan River. Return via scenic view of Mt. Tabor, the
site of transfiguration.
Late afternoon we sail back to Limassol and after another
fantastic night on board, we arrive at around 07.00a.m. the next day.
